The location is peaceful and easy, very close to the restaurant in the evening, a truly lovely pub tucked away in the North Yorkshire countryside, and centre of quiet village - couldn't be better. Besides, Baldersby Park is 10 minutes' 

The location was peaceful and easy for exploring this very pleasant area, just next door to a genuine Yorkshire pub, the establishment in an evening and York, Rievaulx and Ripon. Also, we were only 5 minutes drive 

Peaceful location sure to eat at the restaurant at least once, good for visiting Thirsk.

Beautiful position along with welcoming staff are the reasons we really enjoyed this absolutely charming hotel.

Good drinks at English bar, very good service. Tastefully decorated and new-fashioned units available with the bar downstairs and coffee/tea.

Really enjoyed our stay in this pleasant hotel with the super-friendly staff. The restaurant was amazing with good food and a lovely seating area outside, we ordered fresh dishes.

Exceptionally comfortable venue with excellent location not far from visitor attractions, the bar / restaurant, and the nature of the age of the building and fresh made breakfast. Exceptionally nice, superfriendly people working here.  

Welcoming staff and good and beautiful location, perfect for me. Hearty breakfast option with local ingredients, the best black pudding, cereal.
